Excerpt: Hello world.

Once upon a time…

I dreamed of growing up to work in book publishing in New York City — which somewhere along the way became website publishing in San Francisco. And now, even after decades in the technology industry as a designer, my work never truly feels real until I see it in print.

I’ve kept journals since I was 6 years old and have been taking photos about as long. These practices have been my art, my craft, my joy, my sanity, my guiding light — and what have made me the person I am today.

I am grateful for the digital blessings of instant photographs, desktop publishing, and global community. And I want to shift the balance more into the physical realm. We ourselves remain in it, after all — updating the firmware here and there.

To that end, I am jumping into the loving arms of my first love: books. I make photobooks and zines, and teach others how to make them. I founded and publish under my own imprint LIMINART, where I soon want to welcome other artists.

The past year has been one of wild transition and transformation for me,
as an artist and as a human. I process and evolve through my work and constant experimentation.

Curiosity is everything.

I think through writing and taking pictures. It’s how I make sense of my life
to myself and others. How I connect the dots and live to see another day. This ephemera — these bits and pieces of art — are always everywhere. Notebooks, SD cards, Instagram, text messages, or just floating in my head.

Journal is my new home for my most meaningful photographs and the stories behind them. I hope you find something interesting, joyful, restful,
or inspiring here.

Thank you for joining me.

Welcome to the first issue of Journal.

Mille mercis Cedric! Thank you so much — I hope you enjoy it. :)

(Amazon does work well for publishing internationally. Here in Switzerland I’m able to order it myself via Amazon.de in Germany.)
